"WHAT THESE WALLS COULD TELL, VOL. 1"

Daily journals of J. Arthur Hunter when he was a Keeper at Little Pointe au Sable Light House on Lake Michigan near Mears, Michigan. Copied and published by Vinetta (Quay) Ling. Vinetta includes 23 pages of Introduction and pictures.

Little au Sable Light House is one of the tallest light houses on Lake Michigan. During the time that Arthur Hunter wrote these daily journals, the light house was painted white. The light house is no longer attended by a Keeper. Red brick now shows as it did when it was first built. Mr. Hunter writes each day from March 1900 to February 1907. He tells of the duties of a light house Keeper. He tells of visitors to the light house. He tells of many people who live in Oceana County. He tells of storms and other things that happen, not only in Oceana County, but in Michigan and other parts of the world. In the Introduction you will learn about many of the people Mr. Hunter mentions in his journals.
